Aliens vs Predator: Australia Takes Another Gaming Bullet

[7 Dec 2009 | AdamnessX | 1 Comment]

Now it was no big surprise that Aliens vs Predator [developed by Rebellion and published by Sega] was not going to be released in Germany – those guys are strict…really really strict. However naturally this sparked speculation as to the possibility of the game not hitting the shelves down under, but we wilfully dismissed the idea.

Well sorry to disappoint you crazy kids but it looks like the Aussie’s pattern of hate continues. It was revealed today that the game didn’t reach the standard as it “contains first-person perspective, close-up depictions of human characters being subjected to various types of violence, including explicit decapitation and dismemberment as well as locational damage such as stabbing through the chest, mouth, throat, or eyes.”

Basically on account of all the awesomeness the game will bring. Rebellion then retaliated stated that they;

“Will not be releasing a sanitised or cut down version for territories where adults are not considered by their governments to be able to make their own entertainment choices.”

Fight fight fight!!
