In news that has made me wet my pants in excitement, Platinum Games have announced that a demo of the rather excellent looking Vanquish will be getting release on September 1st.

The demo will give us the opportunity to try out several of the weapons and upgrades coming in the full game and even includes a section in one of the awesome looking mechs.

The full game is coming on the 22nd of October, which can hardly come soon enough for my liking.

After seeing this latest Vidoc from Bungie I am starting to get swayed by the theory that Noble 6 is actually the Master Chief. Almost equally as interesting as that theory is the quality of the game shown off in this video which has kicked my anticipation level into overdrive. Enjoy.

Here’s the first actual gameplay trailer for the interesting looking Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It all looks very Metal Gear to me, not that that’s a bad thing by any means.

What is it about gaming that creates such a unique sense of anticipation when it comes to new releases? I’m sure that each and every one of you reading this will know what I’m talking about: it’s that feeling of excitement and eagerness to play the latest title. The willingness this then creates to pore over previews, screenshots and discussions of games that aren’t even out sometimes for months seems to me to be something unique to gaming.
