Underrated #1: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
Every now and then a game is released which sneaks under our radar, but no more! I’ll be here to highlight such games with brief introductions and reviews, allowing you to check out the game if you see fit.
To start the series off first, we look at Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions!

Whether he’s swinging from rooftop to rooftop or making a deal with Mephisto to save his aunts life, Spider-Man has always been of interest to readers. Created by Stan ‘the man’ Lee, Spider-Man is the hit sensation for Marvel Comics.
Since the beginning, Spider-Man has gone onto hit the small screen, the big screen, and now once more, the slightly bigger screen – the gamers’ 50inch plasma complete the surround sound.

Developed by Beenox and Published by Activision, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions focuses on the life of Spider-Man in not one, but four universes. These are Amazing, Noir, 2099 and Ultimate. For those not familiar with the Marvel universes, here’s a brief breakdown.
2009: Set in the year 2099. The universe may very well be a parallel universe, or the mainstream one. However the world is no less corrupt than it was during the Noir time.
Amazing: Current mainstream universe.
Noir: Set in the past during a dark time featuring corrupt cops and the mob.
Ultimate: A parallel universe which comes with major differences between itself and the amazing universe. For example, Wolverine is dead.

In the game the Spider-Men will have to find a respective piece of tablet in their own universe before the ruined treasure causes the time stream to fracture. Bosses include Carnage, Deadpool, Hammerhead, Kraven and many more! Each Spider-Man will be voiced by a former Spider-Man TV star from the animated series, such as Neil Patrick Harris and no online play will be featured.
And with that basic introduction out of the way, here are some reviews:
Zombiegamer: Possibly the best Spider-Man game to date, but not the best “Super-hero” game to date.
Lazygamer: 8.3/10 – It’s a solid superhero game and comes packed with a lot of fun moments, just don’t expect it to completely blow you away.
Gamespot: 7.5/10 – Small frustrations aside, this is not only a great Spider-Man game, it’s also an entertaining action game that anyone with a penchant for superpowers can enjoy.

The game has already hit the selves in the US and is coming to the UK on the 10th September.
