Ghost Recon Future Soldier
As many of you are aware I am a huge fan of the Ghost Recon Series and after much delay we are now very close to the release of Ghost Recon Future Soldier.
The Ghost Recon series has been going for many years and has always improved immensely. The previous title Ghost Recon Advanced War fighter 2 boasts over 50 multiplayer maps and 16 player coop maps. For a game that came out in 2007 it was way ahead of it’s time and many games even today don’t live up to being supported so well.
With five years having passed since the previous title we have seen many improvements with gaming in general with the match making of Halo and Call of Duty setting the precedent and Battlefield 3 with it’s awesome team based objectives and realism.
Some could say that the Gears of War series has borrowed many aspects of this amazing 3rd person shooter with the movements and cover mechanics but in my opinion the previous Ghost Recon title still holds up today as one of the greatest and most enjoyable 3rd person shooters ever made.
The series has always been targeted at the more hardcore gamer (You know the type who likes to play in a clan) and that is a good thing. The games have always strived to get people to work together as a team and has always been successful. You have to remember that the previous title appeared before we had party chat and this is the only title where I didn’t come across one screaming little american kid. The titles seem to attract the more mature gamer and I made many good friends on xbox live playing the previous titles and I am still proud to say that it’s still one of my most played games on the xbox 360.
Anyway enough with talking about the past. I am here to talk about the future and that is Ghost Recon Future Soldier. With a release date of 25th May 2012 this title is only just around the corner (unless we get another delay) and I am super excited. From what I have played at EuroGamer and have seen on videos it really looks like it’s shaping up to be a great game and hopefully all the delays have been worth it.
I will stop rambling on now and let you enjoy some awesome videos of the game in action.
Enjoy!!!
