NeverDead is one of those games that looks good when advertised but just doesn’t quite live up to the hype. The game does many things that no other video game has done before but with its cheesy voice acting and repetitive nature I came away slightly disappointed.
NeverDead is essentially and arcade game at heart, with loads of weird enemies, crazy gun and swordplay and one strange story that is a lot of fun at first but after a few chapters you begin to realize it’s very repetitive.
The most annoying thing …

No game has me more excited or burdened by anticipation than ‘Rainbow6:Patriots.’ Still clinging to its 2013 release date, details on this installment are slowly but surely beginning to emerge from Ubisoft. As part of the Tom Clancy universe, RB6 maintains its place in history as the quintessential squad-based tactical shooter focusing on close-quarter engagements, nail-biting tension, & the perfect amount of “realism.” But it’s been several years now since the last installment and the “battlefield” has quite literally changed.

Assassins Creed Revelations is the fourth installment in Ubisoft’s altered reality crusade saga. Revelations is solid when compared to previous installments from the series; however Ezio is a much older man. Age has only made Ezio a more dangerous adversary for the Templar knights with his skills, and arsenal being more lethal than ever before. Set in Constantinople during the rise of the Ottoman Empire Ezio must collect keys left behind by the heroine of the original Assassins Creed “Altiar” whose roll in this installment is minimal only appearing during …

So thats now 2011 behind us. And what a year it was. Whether you’re a fan of RPG’s, Shooters, Platformers or Racers, 2011 had it all. Starting out the year with the mighty Dead Space 2, the direct sequel to 2008s survival horror and closing up the year (well…the year worth talking about anyway) was The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, the next iteration in this now 25 year old franchise.
If you haven’t had time or you’re still on Mass Effect 2 prepping your army for march then you’ve missed …

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last month or so, you can’t have missed out on how popular The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has become. Developed by Bethesda, well known for their modern renditions of the Fallout franchise, Skyrim has taken the world of gaming by storm – selling more than 3.4 million copies in just the first two days, and gluing gamers all over the world to their lounge seats for days (or weeks) at a time. And the best thing about this runaway success is …

As a professional writer of tabletop role-playing games (the ‘pencil and paper’ kind), I’m well versed in selling to niche markets. Long have I wished that the love for tabletop RPGs (other than fantasy football…) would spread out into the general public. Instead, I’ve watched the market grow, then shrink, then grow, then shrink again, never really gaining any ground.
Of course, tabletop RPGs (TRPGs) really haven’t evolved in the last four decades. Sure, the genres have gone beyond simple fantasy war games, and new designers are always innovating rules, but …
