The Wii U is making headlines at the moment for many reasons – its ground-breaking design and gameplay style is thrilling gaming plans just as much as the exciting New Super Mario Bros. U game that is available for the console. Aside from the new Super Mario games that are or will be released for the Wii U, another talking point is Nintendo Land.
Nintendo Land is designed to show off the capabilities and features of the console in a similar way to how the New Art Academy title made the …

Retro City Rampage is one of those indie titles that will take anyone over 30 on a trip down memory lane. Nostalgia is a funny thing, we remember things from our youth with great reverence and Retro City Rampage takes all those things and brings them back to the front of our minds.
Retro City Rampage was first released on Steam,PS3 and Vita on the 9th October 2012 and was subsequently released on Xbox 360 and Wii U on the 2nd January 2013. I initially purchased the game on steam during …

Well here it is, it’s almost the end of another year. The end of the world never happened and we can continue with our mundane jobs that feed our gaming addiction. The end of the year always means one thing to me, and that is what games were the highlight of the year. Saturday at the EuroGamer Expo 2012 is but now a memory. It was nice to meet so many people from the community at the show and I am sure the stories from the drinking sessions (which I sadly missed) will be told in party chat and the podcast for many weeks to come.
Special thanks to the following people for setting up community meet ups and drinking sessions as I couldn’t do any of it this year. (Mixture of real names and Gamertags)
CinemaDan, Voodoo, Peebs and Clarky31.
Also Big thanks to everyone …

So the first day of Eurogamer expo 2012 is over and what a busy day it was.
First and foremost if you hate queuing than you might be a little disappointed. The first experience is the queue to actually get into the venue. I had 10am early bird tickets but didn’t actually get inside the venue until 1100am as the queue was so huge.
Once in though the queues for the bigger games Halo 4, Call of Duty, Tomb Raider, Assassins Creed, Gears of War, Hitman and the Wii U seemed to …

The pan-European PEGI games ratings will be made legally enforceable in just a matter of weeks.
An update from trade body UKIE today says the ratings will become law on July 23rd.
There has been a number of delays around getting the self-regulation marks to become a legal requirement – abolishing the BBFC’s remit over games – for sometime.
It was first recommended that the PEGI labels were made law five years ago.
But the UK Government started to process to legally endorse PEGI when parliament reconvened last month.
UKIE – previously known as ELSPA …

Pre-Show and Microsoft Press Briefing
1:14 PM – Watching the preview show at gametrailers.com. Every time I see the LA Convention Center, I think of Rush Hour. Can you blame me?
1:14 PM – 20 min until Microsoft wastes everyone’s time by spending a disproportionate amount of time on Kinect. Also, what makes Peter Molyneaux so legendary? I have never understood this. The guy seems out of touch and his games are meh.
1:14 PM – Little Big Planet Karting looks cool. Cool enough to get me to turn on my PS3.
1:14 PM …
